Privacy notes

Does Ted Journal sell my information?

No. Ted Journal does not sell personal information, and it does not pass reader details to anyone for advertising. That answer comes first because it is the one most people want.

Ted Journal is the magazine responsible for everything on this page. Questions go to office@tedjournal.com.

What happens when I use the contact form?

The contact form on our Contact page has three boxes. One takes your name, one your email address, one the note itself. Say you write in about a burnt pan that will not come clean. We use the name to greet you, the address to send the fix, and the message to know which pan and which burn.

The message and the details with it stay in our inbox for 12 months. After that, they are deleted. The same goes for anything you email us directly.

What does the server record?

Each page view lands in the web host's log by itself. The entry can carry your IP address and browser type, plus the page and the minute you opened it. That log keeps the site working and helps block attacks. It is not used to keep tabs on you.

Are there cookies?

Not tracking or ad cookies. Ted Journal sets none of those, so no cookie prompt shows up.

What rights do I have?

That depends partly on your state. California and several other states have privacy laws that give residents rights over personal information held by businesses. Ted Journal gives every reader the same four, no matter the state.

Ask to see a copy of what we hold. Ask us to correct a wrong detail. Ask us to delete your messages early, before 12 months. Ask to opt out of selling or sharing, and we will log it, even though we do neither.

Email office@tedjournal.com or use the contact form, and name the right. We might send one question back to check the request is really from you. Asking costs you nothing, and you will be treated no differently.

Is this site for kids?

No. Ted Journal is for adults running a household, and it is not directed at children under 13. Nothing here is meant to draw kids in, and we would not knowingly hold a child's details, which is what COPPA expects.

If your child sent us something, email us. We will delete it.

Will this page change?

It might. Any update is posted on this page, with the new date at the bottom. Last updated November 5, 2026.
